I hate the idea of never knowing if or when I will once again see Marco flail his arms around on stage in an interpretive dance to the "B.... E...... C..... A......." part of Dog Problems... Or the fact that Swans was a great song that only pumped me up for what was to come. But the more I think about it, the more I accept it as inevitable and good thing... kinda.
Nate said a long time ago in the Dear Nate part of The Living Room that The Format was by no means permanent and that there were many things that meant more to him in life than a silly band. Because of this, I always expected an end, just never this early. BUT.. I keep trying to think of it this way: If they had become contractually stuck with Atlantic or if they had signed to another label after they finally got Atlantic to drop them, just think about how much this next album could have sucked.. I never want to hear that crappy forced album that every band that stays in one place for too long eventually makes.
