MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Artist:
Album: Chinese Democracy
Track: Rhiad And The Bedouins

Guns N Roses (if you still want to call Axl and his new co. that) are having a bad day. Earlier today mastered recordings of the band's decade and a half in the making album Chinese Democracy were leaked online. I normally wouldn't write about an album being leaked. Everyday a new album is leaked online, not to mention the fact that back in May of Chinese Democracy's demos were leaked online. But what makes this situation different apart from the tracks, nine in all, being "mastered" there were three apparent new ones in the mix.

Of the three tracks are one that has never ever been heard of before, "Rhiad And The Bedouins," which was played on previous Chinese Democracy tours and "If The World," which had been seen on set lists but never played. "Better," "The Blues," "Chinese Democracy," "IRS," "There Was A Time" and "Madagascar," which boasts a new chorus of Axl singing over himself.

Maybe Axl and Co. who signed with new management earlier this year are changing around the tracklist, or perhaps Sebastian Bach isn't so crazy suggesting that Chinese Democracy is going to be the first in a trilogy of albums? And maybe the first long awaited will come out around the time of the summer Olympics, which would be fitting since they are being held in Beijing, China.

Update: I've been trying to find the leaks all over the internet. I think this is the leaked "Rhiad And The Bedouins," other live versions are also up on YouTube. "And dayum! "If The World" is a sexy jam...

Thats one thing I always liked about Axl, he wasnt the typical rock n roll guy. Even when you watched the Welcome to The Jungle video you could see it was just a little bit offbeat and different from the pack. I mean out of all those LA 80s rock bands, he really tried to break away from the standard hairsprayed BS and do something more artistic. Im interested in hearing these songs. If that trilogy thing is true, it will def be something to hear.

OK, "If The World" isn't bad. And "Rhiad And The Bedouins" has its moments. Maybe GnR doesn't suck as bad as I anticipated. I wonder how much Buckethead played on the tracks...

maybe if axl didn't take so long to release new music this wouldn't be an issue.  stop thinking you are important and release new music, jackass!

you're not trying to perfect the cure for cancer, it's rock 'n roll!!

Scotch : The tracks sounds like FNM meets Incubus. I don't know what to think of the vocals.

 BTW, Axle's a ginger kid.
