Artist: Album: Track:

Bon Iver, filmed by Nate Chan at the Independent, San Francisco, for la Blogotheque.

If you haven't heard of him yet, you need to. That is not a threat. Okay it is, a little bit.

Just think "what might have been lost."

Wolves (Act I & II)

Skinny Love

Now you can get to know Mr. Vernon. A separate interview. Part I.

And a separate interview. Part II.

Enjoy.

Artist: Miles Kurosky Album: Unknown Track: An Apple For An Apple

... and wear them on your macbook computer bags and acid-washed jean jackets. Miles Kurosky is back. He posted this track on his myspace page two days ago. Hopefullly an album will be out soon, and it'll bring us back to the good ole' days of the Elephant 6. I got my fingers crossed for a J.D. Salinger novel next (I would have said a Jeff Mangum album, but we've got a better chance of seeing Jesus in the grounds at the bottom of our Stumptown coffee cups).

Miles Kurosky

J.D. Salinger

Everybody's Pal, Mr. Mangum (I'd like to see his visage in a pancake)

Everybody's Other Pal (but think in your coffee grounds) !

Good tune. I knew that jean jacket would come in handy again someday. Enjoyed the Slate article, thanks for the generosity. Now, all I'm left wondering is (1) who owns the album Aeroplane and (2) would they please share some of it's "weirdness" and maybe even the "rollicking bagpipe jam"? Pleeease. Cheers! ~N

You've never heard Communist Daughter, Holland 1945, or King of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1 or 2? Oh, poor child. Poor, poor child. You'll either be amazed and swear Mangum as your one and only savior or you'll want to peel your eyelids off. Those are the only two reactions people have to Jeff Mangum's voice and music. Only.

No. Wait. I think I saw King of Carrot Flowers posted on MOG not too long ago and listened to it. I still have my eyelids. Maybe Magnum is my one and only savior?! Hmm.

Ahh, the middle. What a wonderful place this middle is. I know I don't come here often, but my sojourn has been rewarding.

Also, Emily Haines states in her interview that she wants to be a sound. I want to be Mr. T. We all have our dreams. What is yours?

Emily Haines.

when i listen to them i either start getting hyped up and crazy (athems for a teenage etc) or i stare at the screen until the song ends (lovers spit). then i think that i dont actually like them that much.

Well i want to be back in 1970s england and be James Herriott. or i would have liked to have been the first one to have invented cornflakes.

Bartleby says:

BSS is such a protean platform, isn't it? -- Regarding Ms Haines's dream, it seems that having a filmed a radio interview could a compromise for her dilemma between being seen and being heard.

As for me, I'd like to be an essence, completely devoid of any carnal contingencies. Or rather, I'd like to be "happy" whatever it means.

Edmund have you checked out "Cloud Cult", if not then I suggest their last two albums wholeheartedly.
