Some Moggers had complained that there's hasn't been so much electronic around on MOG recently. My Wired Wednesday posts got rare lately due to my travels - often without internet access but much more due to the lack of disc space. I'll get a external hard disc soon, than this problem should be solved.
Instead of presenting an artist, I'd like to present a whole label today, as the posted music stems from a label compilation. Apart from that Pulver Records doesn't have so many releases yet. The label, situated in Stuttgart, was founded in 2001 by the guys from Dublex Inc. and was supposed to be a platform for their own records in the first place. It didn't stay like this and meanwhile they host also other artsts like the Dutch Rhythm Combo (the feature track), Inverse Cinematics, DJ Angola or Erik Sumo.
The musical spectrum ranges from (Deep) House to Acid Jazz and what some call Nu Funk.
The compilation gives quite a good overview regarding the released music, and I don't regret having bought it some years ago.
Of 'Bonaire' exist meanwhile several remixes, one of which you can also find on Youtube. What you hear here is the original.
While doing a small investigation on Pulver Records I found this new track of Inverse Cinematics on Youtube. It says that this track was released by another label, so I'm not sure if Inverse Cinematics is still with Pulver Records.
Enjoy the tracks, more in the comments.

This weekend the legendary Notting Hill Carnival will take place once more - the first time for me though. So if any of the London based Moggers wanna join or have a good insider tip for me - drop me a note.

>Here's a quite nice warmup mix from Norman Jay for the Time Out magazine. The first track from the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble hit me immediately.
How does it come that I didn't know this guy before? Seems to be a big one in Londons music scene.
On my way of finding out more about Munk I stumbled upon this video clip. Funnily I have just been in the very posh Portofino. I was told only 5 star hotels would exists in this coastal village in Liguria and indeed I saw quite a few quite expensive yachts there. Very beautiful place but I'm defnitively lacking the money for staying there for more than a few hours.

I don't understand Italian, so I don't know if there is some irony in the words they say in the video clip. Have to ask our Italian to translate the Italian snippets.
Quite a fun song. Reminds me in some strange manner of Stereo Total.

Portofino was a great restaurant here in Minnesota, sadly it closed its doors last year. This post made me think of some of the great times I had while eating there
I'm Liking this one. I'll have to investigate further. Thanks!
Haha. Another example for the name robbery, that is so prominent in the U.S.. Doesn't surprise me at all. Portofino seemingliy is very known amongst the rich as romantic place for retreat. I didin't know it until I was there as part of a boat trip.
Dzend: Munk is primarily the chief of the Munich based Gomma records. His second album "Cloudbuster" is definitively recommendable. I listened to it to death recently but it wouldn't die. Fistula wrote a post on it > here and I previewed it > here (Fistulas post contains the track that I previewed, so it's better to go there).
This track here stems from the older (and first?) album Aperitivo. Just got it, so I don't have an opinion on it yet.
