I'm looking into charitable organizations that I would like to make a donation to.

Any thoughts?

One of my ideas was to start a mog charity to send a check off to Chris Pryors family or making a donation to some group in his name from all of us.

Come to think of it we have have a bunch of people to make donations for. Sam's mom in law, Ivy's old prof, or even my cat Bingo.

Truth is I don't even know where to start putting something like this together. No idea what so ever but I do have one hell of an idea on how to the raise cash.

Good idea.  I've been thinking about it myself.  Some org's I like:

Electronic Frontier Foundation - Sued the government over AT&T/NSA spying fiasco.  Also a big opponent to the tiered/limited internet that the telcos and cable companies want.  For those of us who require bandwidth for their livings or like to do things like watch videos or music online, this is bad news

Save the Internet - see above

The Who Farm - These guys want to put an organic victory garden n the White house Lawn. Symbolically this is good. With rising food prices around the world, this is the best alternative I can think of to offsetting prices, at least in the US.

or (if other moggers want to get together on this) we could all pull the money in one of the many micro loaning sites and create a micro loan towards something music education related.  I like this idea, because it goes more directly towards an individual, and not as much through a organization.

Ty, the EFF would be a no brainer for a donation from MOG. That's an avenue I didn't think of. It speaks to what MOG is about.

Not to down play your choices but I was thinking more humanitarian. I'd even be willing to give to a religous org. if it showed promise.

The American Cancer society.  Pretty run of the mill, though having lost multiple family members to Cancer, I am a bit sensitive to their needs, not too mention the risk group I suddenly find myslef in the older I get.

Who knew the man who "loves ya babe" recorded an album.

Give the the tune a listen then spring it on a loved one when you think your going to get .... intimate. Get a chuckle then get busy.

If I was single I think this song would make it into a mix tape for any girl I might be wooing at the moment.

What a great karaoke tune. I could totally see Capt. Zapp Brannigan singing this one.

Kojak Sings!

This is the warning shot over your bow so to speak.

I have entered into an informal contract with the MOS and in an effort to fulfill my end of the bargain I will trying to lay down some tunes that get none to almost no airplay. This is just one of those tracks.

I first heard Out Hud on my local radio station WMUH. I missed the dj's announcement of the tune so I called in. It was 1:30 am and I think the dj was surprised that somebody was listening to his show. It just goes to show that there is great music all around us, we just have to filter out the chaff to get to the good stuff once in awhile.

If your interested in checking out the bands bio you can go here:

My buddy Galen is pushing me to learn bass. This track has a cool line running through it.

Out Hud was a house party band first and foremost. They put 3 albums down and a few mixed EP's before they gave up the ghost in '06.

It a jump up and down song for sure. Great for the background.

I'd say there's a little industrial influence in there too as well as some

Talking Heads. Cool song Chris.
