I'm getting in the habit of missing important dates because I'm getting older and wiser. sometimes I just forget ...other times I think whats the point ..some people just aint on my wave length and I don't want them wasting my time, likewise Sly and the family Stone got into the habit of missing concert dates in the early seventies I dont think for one moment that it was because they thought their fans were a waste of space...more likely due to the substance abuse problems that they were encountering. Anyway I loved their psychedelic funkiness. uplifting my soul and taking me higher everytime. Its a Family Affair has to be one of my all time favourites. Heres to doing your own thing every once in a while!

The Coral, a lovely band from Liverpool,  have recently released their singles album. They have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2005.

This track is short and sweet. I agree with a colleague of mine that some songs are getting too long. I for one, always seem to be in a rush nowadays... I'm even rushing this. I easily get impatient so thankfully the words and the shortness of this song helps !
