Coldplay

The biggest problem with Coldplay is that nobody seems able to accurately judge how good or bad they are. Put ‘Coldplay+boring’ or ‘Coldplay+brilliant’ into Google and you get almost the same (at least on the scale of the internet) number of results. For every review proclaiming them as ‘the next U2’ (and there are many- do a Google search for this, too - I’m trying to convince myself Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t write any of them), there’s a Chuck Klosterman piece calling them ... Well the football season has started again here in the uk with the premiership and champions league which hopefully means a few more visits to the pub at weekends work permitting "Maybe it was ambitious to try and play football against a team of Brazilians; we did well until they brought on their star players - the rest was a bit embarrasing.

From new album, Coldplay is still brilliant. Lost! is reminiscent of their older work - The Scientist, piano-driven vocal. After listening, I was not so sure, Am i lost?

As The Queen's Princess alerted us last week, Coldplay released the brand new video for "Viva La Vida."  It's a gorgeous video with vibrant colours and dramatic videography.  Today, however, an alternate version popped up at OnSmash and it's completely different than the "official" version.  Where the 1st video is intensely high quality, this 2nd one is intentionally grainy.  And the story-lines are a bit different too.  When I think of the 1st version, I can't get that im... Do Coldplay have the balls to release their new album Viva La Vida pro bono, like their fellow Brits Radiohead? Giving away free music is addicting for Coldplay. Last night, on my lunch break at the bookstore, I put on my headphones and listened to Viva La Vida on shuffle.
