I can't seem to get music in a post any other way.

At last, at last, I can't believe it.  I finally did it.

I know, it sounds like a good problem to have, but I have too much music. My iPod, an 80gb, is almost filled to the brim, chocked full of musical goodness, old stuff and new, and that is where my problem begins. I forget to listen to the new stuff. When I am at work, where I get most of my listening done, I settle in to work, scroll through my iPod and draw a complete blank on what I should listen to. Mates and States, the real life couple of Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel, will release the follow-up to 2005's well-recieved album Bring It Back this spring. For the new one, Re-Arrange Us out May 20th via Barsuk, Gardner and Hammel layered keys, drums, and alternately dueling vocals. I have this total fascination with that whole Warhol,Lou Reed, Nico era in NYC in the 60's and 70's...i watch and read everything I can about that whole scene...they were the original hipsters! That new mates of state album is really good. I really liked all of the new stuff they played when i saw them in houston back in december. I finallly got my own copy this evening and i must say, it rulz. I also really like their cover of Nico's "These Days" as well. Aside from the good tunes, Austin is frozen tonight, it's weird, because this is Texas, this never happens here....
