I need a little love for the ladies, who so often have delivered unique and landmark hip-hop recordings, but even more often are overshadowed are just plainly left out of the current state of hip-hop unless they are doing some sexy schtick.

I will start it out with under-appeciated Bahamadia. This is off an EP I picked up along the way. It features a track produced by Dilla/Slum Village to compliment Bahamadia's mellow and unique voice.

Bahamadia has a totally unique voice, if the industry of hip hop rewarded talent she would have been a star. She is still out there doing it though. There were a few choice tracks on her first LP too, but I don't have them or I would share.
