WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

Album: Volume 1
Track: Hardcore Raver

I've always appreciated the talent behind the Jenkinson family what with having the two brothers Squarepusher and Ceephax in it, but this video is really just where it's at as far as acid goes.  I don't have any clue as to what type of hardware he uses, and all of his analog equipment probably cost a fortune, but it's quite enjoyable to watch anyway.  Perhaps Andy isn't as talented as his brother Tom simply because of the fact that Squarepusher has become a sensei on the bass, while his younger brither is simply comfortable with every piece of analogequipment he owns, but there is no doubt in my mind that he was mentored extensively. They both like to use tape reel, and seemingly out of date equipment that makes the production aspect much more difficult, but adds to the fidelity as well as the live capabilities.  Overall one hell of an electronic artist.

Cool video.  I love the ravey piano parts too.  I had no idea they were brothers.  How cool is that.  I've had Ceephax Acid Crew on my list to buy for a looong while but but haven't gotten it yet.  I think I need to correct that soon.  To quote Luke Vibert, "I love acid!"

Nice, yeah the way he drops parts on his mixing board is pretty impressive huh. I need to buy some of his albums for sure, but they're always expensive at Amoeba, so I never picked them up.  What I wouldn't give to be on that boat, or be 21 so that I could see Flying Lotus in SF on the 23rd.

I had no idea they are brothers either - that is a raging little acid track.

And that is sweet how he is just mixing the analog gear on a little 24 track mixer.
