It's a long story involving an all-night mix-making marathon and a hotel that didn't give me any hours next week, but the short version is I get to spend 5 nights back home in Abington! Thats the most time I've spent there in months. Any good (cheap) shows I can check out while I'm around (Sunday-Thursday), Philly Moggers? So I'm packing exra quickly now since I'm leaving to go to Albany in about half an hour, but I saw some Ingrid-related news I had to post.
When I reviewed Ingrid Michaelson's kick-off show of her first major headlining tour, I mentioned hearing (and falling in love with) a new song called "Be ok". I posted the video here. Well today Ingrid announced that she will be releasing the Be Ok EP in October which will include "new recordings of songs not found anywhere but her live shows". It's like she read my mind :) She'll also be donating some proceed from Be Ok to SU2C, an inititave to erradicate cancer. very nice.
Also, and you know I will be doing this, she announced an opportunity to be a part of the "Be Ok" music video! All you have to do is take a picture of yourself with "Be Ok" somewhere on your face and email it to beok@ingridmichaelson.com
I seriously need to pack now. eek!

I saw her a few months back on an outdoor stage for the closing of the lilac festival in Rochester, NY. Solid performance considering it was about 40 degrees and windy.
I had a liquid blanket that was keeping me quite comfortable but all she had was glittens...

that's a fun idea, pink! I'm still brainstorming what I'm going to do...
Joxley, you should do it! It would be cool to see how many moggers we can get in the video :)

Right off the bat, you have to like some one who puts 'I am' in the title of a song.

hehe, I didn't even think of that! As you might be able to tell, I am a little obsessed with her right now! I even got a little teary-eyed when I wrote an email to her (well, her people) regarding the be ok/SU2C EP. But that is a story for another day...
