OH MY GOD. I live an hour and a half away. I found out they were going on at 9:30 and left at 8. About 40 minutes away from the show, my friend waiting in line calls and says it's sold out. One of my other friends is in "This Will Destroy You" who has toured with FBTMOF so I called him and he said he'd ask their tour manager and to call him when I got there.
I drove behind the venue and saw Jimmy texting on his phone in the van. He smiled at me when I drove by. By luck, someone near the van left so I stole their spot. I got out of my car and Jimmy was out of the van by the point. He waved to me and asked how I was. Me: "Pretty bummed. I heard it's sold out.. " J: "So what are you gonna do?" M: "Well, my friend is going to try to get me in on a band's list.. but he said bands have been sneaking people in through the back." J: "Oh wow.."
Then the rest of Ours comes outside from inside the venue. They go into the van to get their masks.. Jimmy has this mask and a whip? haha. He walks by me and spanks me with the whip. -I was surprised - haha. Then he says, "Hey." M: "Yeah?" J: "My band's about to go on. Want to come in with me?" M: "Really?"
Then he starts walking towards the back door with his hand behind him for me to hold. I almost DIED. Then the back door guy is all, "She needs a wristband." To which Jimmy responds, "She's going to stand onstage with me."
