Yesterday as I was sharing Amy Winehouse's latest predicament (that the singer has emphysema) with the MOG world two things came across my mind. 1) How the hell does a 24 year-old get emphysema? It seemed physically impossible, since most people who get the lung disease are old and have smoked their entire life. And 2)That father of her's, Mitch, sure likes to talk to the media. I am an Amy-holic. Tonight she was supposed to perform at Summer Stage in Central Park and due to her trainwreck of a life, she canceled. Not completely unexpected, but disappointing none the less. Amy's first album "Frank", released in the UK a couple of years ago, is due out domestically in the states in November and the record company has been attempting to block stores from selling import copies here to bolster sales of "Back to Black". This song "fuck me Pumps" is by the artist amy winehouse, she's got a soul sound to her. When I first heard her, I thought she might be Lauryn Hill..WRONG. But she does have an amazing voice. I like this song in particular because it's fun, and it depicts am aging gold diggin woman.
