Last night I was invited by my new friend "Babs" to go and listen to her boyfriend and a small jazz trio (Matty Alger- drums, Ricardo Vogt - guitar, Ignacio Long - bass) play with a Brazilian vocalist named Elin at a cozy underground Italian bar/restaurant called "Bar Next Door" on Mcdougal just north of 3rd in Manhattan.
