Not even that, but if we just for a minute pretend looks don’t matter, it doesn’t even have substance beneath its steely glare. Though I say it's reliable, I am lying like a chick settling for a crac... MORE
From AP:
Sing us one last song at Shea, Piano Man Billy Joel bade a stirring farewell to Shea Stadium on Friday during an electrifying, sold-out final show at the same ballpark where the Beatles famously ushered in a new era in rock 'n' roll four decades ago. He was joined by an all-star lineup of friends including Paul McCartney, who told Joel, "Came here a long time ago. We had a blast that night and we're having another one tonight." "Good evening, Shea Stadium. Is... MORE
I was cruising the web and happened across MOG's Billy Joel page. I work for Rocks Off, New York City's sweetest independent concert promoter. We're best known for running (totally sweet) concerts on boats that circle Manhattan during the summer, but we're also running cruises to the Billy Joel shows at Shea Stadium on July 16 and 18, and I thought you guys should know about these awesome parties. There's going to be booze, snacks, music, and a refreshing breeze, as we... MORE
BJ does this song absolute justice
I may be a billy joel apologist but the man deserves his props
If I could have half his body of work
Video mashup of Billy Joel performing mostly in the 70s, some 80s - Everybody Loves You Now, Movin' Out, Say Goodbye to Hollywood. Good stuff. Have a listen.
I searched for this song (written by Billy Joel) and finally found it with iTunes power search. The album and single are by Cass Dillon. You can find it by searching under Cass Dillon, and not Billy Joel. You can't hear very much of it unless you buy it, but maybe enough :-)) And there's some interesting stuff from an album by the same name performed by Jefferson Pepper. Hope this helps anyone trying to find the song. Links, guys?
Billy Joel's 1987 concert in Leningrad is now available in Wolfgang's Vault.

I'm blatantly ripping this off of The Times Online, but this is MOG, and we know how to cuss and stuff. Visit the link to do a legit update or post a line or lyric to Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start The Fire" Here's the video in case you need a refresher. I'll post the lyrics of the ones I deem the best.
The incredibly great Literary Quarterly McSweeney's has this great piece by John Moe on it's website:

This started as a comment to Dfor's post about Billy Joel's song It's Still Rock'n'Roll to Me: Dfor said: Stuff and then he quoted:
It’s the next phase, new wave , dance craze, anyways It’s still rock and roll to me Everybody’s talkin’ ‘bout the new sound Funny, but it’s still rock and roll to meAnd i said: Play that back to back with the Kinks’ Rock and Roll Fantasy and Can't Stop the Music, and Joan Jett’s I Love Rock and Roll and Good Music, and the Ramones’...
