Believe it or not I actually come across a lot of people who know the song when they hear it but they don't know the name of this song!! This is nmy cover of their biggest hit single and a song that still rings true today. A timeless classic:

This started out as a solo acoustic cover then I decided to overdub one vocal harmony. At one time I overdubbed some acoustic riffs in the background but never felt that sounded right. So this time I employed my Gretsch 6120 plugged straight into the computer and I use the Bigsby tailpiece to get the vibrato.

more youtube goodness, from the monterey pop festival ('67?), Buffalo Springfiled, with David Crosby subbing for Neil Young. Almost like an early version of CSN, with Ritchie Furay instead of Graham Nash. Is this the most influential band ever? If you think about all the subsequent projects these guys spawned, they're like the 49ers coaching staff under Bill Walsh, with Mike Holgren, Dennis Green, Andy Petite, all of whom became head coaches in their own right. ...
