Timelines are never predictable in the world of the Clipse, so I was of course surprised to see the Road To Till The Casket Drops mixtape actually drop on December 2 as promised. Of course, this is after some revisionist history changed the promised November release of the Till The Casket Drops LP to a single by the same name in November with a following LP in April '09. The naysayers who have always contested that The Clipse would be nothing without the Neptunes production will have their theory tested very soon.The Clipse have left Jive and Star Trak and landed at Columbia Records in a 50/50 profit sharing venture. Their Re-Up Gang Records artists will be released via columbia and the Clipse will retain their master tapes, which is no easy feat.
