Cloud Cult is a band from Minneapolis, MN., that I was turned on to a couple of years ago by my friend Trevor of the band HIJK. The album they were touring in support of, Advice For The Happy Hippopotamus, was genius and ended up one of my favorite albums of the year.
Then I found out how eco-friendly they are -- they buy carbon credits to make up for the carbon footprint they leave by going on tour!

a video for "chemicals collide" from 'meaning of 8'. the video gives you bits of a live show...it is quite an experience! Cloud Cult's new release, coming out on April 8th, following up to last year's "Meaning of 8", moves past death into the afterlife where Craig Minowa and company spend most of the album. Sorry for the very impersonal post, but 'tis another overly busy day at my place of employment, Wu-Tang Financial. This song is getting a lot of love on my iPod lately, so I figured I'd put it up for all to enjoy... that is all, carry on.
For all of you out there who have had the distinct pleasure of listening to Cloud Cult, I salute you. I must get the word out about this band. If you know anything about them, they refuse to sign to a major record label to stay eco friendly, sending their CD's through the mail without all the excess packaging and running things how they want. So please, if you get the chance, give them a listen. They changed my life, and hopefully they can change yours. It makes me hap... MORE
