You want a scary story? I'll give you a scary story! So I read here that Depeche Mode announced a world tour. After crying a few tears of joy, I sign up for the presale, to get me a ticket for their London show in O2 arena in May. I wake up today at 08:30 in the morning (oh the brutality) to get me a ticket. I pick a standing ticket, go through the process, and Ticketmaster gives me the finger. Shit!, I cry out loud, there are no standing tickets left already! Oh well....... MORE

Those '80s synth pop icons Depeche Mode are back for more as the group just announced a world tour to begin next May 10 in Israel. Actually, they're calling it their "Tour Of The Universe 2009," with many more gigs across the globe promised following the opening salvo of European dates in May and June. Unconfirmed reports of Gahan, Gore, Fletcher & associates playing Alpha Centauri do appear to be premature, though...

MUSIC NEWS - Depeche Mode has renewed its long-term contract with Mute/EMI and is planning to release its 12th studio album in early spring 2009, and is currently recording in a New York studio. It has not been announced who will release the cd in the United States, past Depeche Mode albums were licensed by Mute to Warner Bros Records. Depeche Mode have mapped out the European leg of their forthcoming world tour set to kick-off next year. Among the dates unveiled is a performance at London’s 02 Arena set for May 30. The band are currently in the studio in New York recording their 12th studio album, which is due out sometime next spring. Tickets for the forthcoming tour go on sale Friday (October 10).

Goodbye - the spice girls I always forget that I live 5 minutes from one of the east coasts best nature preserves and 25 mile long strand of some of Americas most beautiful beach front. The Broken Frame album is kind of a mixed bag. This song here for instance, even at the age of 14 I wasn't sure if I found it silly or not. Now I'm older and wiser and I simply went and decided that it is a perfectly o.k. song. Some trivial things need to be said, too. I have a live version of this on vinyl, too... on this weird little series of 12-inches with a 45 and a 33 side.
