Okay, I have been busy lately. I did, however, have time to buy some new CD's. I don't know why I do it. They get burned on my Computer, and then sit, sit and sit until I decided to go to the Used CD shop. Over the next two months Destroyer will be putting on a nice sized string of shows spanning the U.S. Their new album Trouble In Dreams comes out March 18th via Merge Records. After playing at SXSW in mid March, the grind really kicks in after the Minneapolis show. Check out the dates below

Oh goodness have I been looking forward to this one. I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the Dan Bejar side project Hello, Blue Roses, so I was really anticipating some real Destroyer action. Let me tell you, Trouble in Dreams doesn't disappointed either. A real sibling to Rubies, it provides more of the same awesome guitar work and cryptic lyrics. On March 18, 2008, Destroyer will release their 8th studio album, titled Trouble in Dreams. The new album will be released on Merge Records in North America, and Rough Trade Records in UK/Europe. So just listening to some tunes on Pandora and I heard a very interesting voice and key tonality.

...you're so excited about something you can't sleep? Of course my major memories of this include Christmas Eve or the nights before big trips to visit family in LA or before we go camping. Right now though, it's all about this coming year. I leave tomorrow for a weekend birthday bash back home in Sacramento.
