A few years ago I heard a fantastic DJ set by Carl Craig that ended with this tune... threw me a couple of decades back and I had to get that album. With hindsight, Don't You Want Me, Love Action and all the rest aren't bad, but "The Things That Dreams are Made Of" has become one of those tunes that I turn to when things are too bad (or too good, for that matter).. We all know there is no such thing as Electronica. (Don't we? See Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music if you don't believe me). It was just a a marketing term. However the reason for the title of this post (the start of an occasional ongoing series) is to highlight some electronic music that isn't particularly well known or which has been lost from most people's musical consciousness. Yeah. Exactly. I'm gonna go watch "What Dreams May Come". Who else thinks it's fucked up that Will Smith is starring in "I Am Legend"? Nothing against the guy, but dear god, if you've read "I Am Legend" you would know it would be ruined by Will Smith and his goddamn cheesy one liners. They even fucked up the plot. However, He Is Legend has one of the coolest videos ever... Speaking of which... Ok, off to drink more and watch the movie. Damn I wish I was cool.... MORE
