Prefix is reporting that MF DOOM will be releasing his fourth album "Born Into This" under the MF DOOM name on October 21. Last time I heard anything about MF DOOM was that he was being replaced by imposters at his own shows and people were getting angry at that. You can download a track he did by rapping over a beat by Clutchy Hopkins.

According to a one-sheet from Fontana distribution, DOOM (no longer MF Doom) is set to release a new album, Born Into This, October 21 on Lex Records. The album will be DOOM's "first full-length solo project in four years and is filled with superstar guests including production from J Dilla, Dangermouse and guests MC's Ghostface and Raekwon." How PISSED off would you be if you paid to see your favorite artist and they sent an impersonator to perform? This is what happened during the "Rock The Bells" concert in San Bernadino recently. For those of you who are unfamiliar with DOOM, he performs under a mask, so it's reasonably feasible for an imposter to hop on stage. More scandal in the MF Doom-gate. Apparently, concert-goers and promoters alike were disappointed with the impostor's performance in Atlanta, Georgia on December 13th. Here's the story. I saw the DOOM show on New Years Eve. The location was amazing, downtown LA in an old warehouse. KRS-1 rang in the new year with an amazing set. Pharcyde capped it off with "Passing Me By." I was speechless. It was better than ideal. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Check out the 2006 Doom. Who knew? I completely missed this one until about a month ago.
FYI He's playing downtown LA for New Years 2007. And to think a whole mess of Doom is coming out in 2008/2009.

Tonight has finally come. Doom at the SAFEHOUSE in downtown LA. This is going to be unreal. The masked villain himself ringing in the new year with another spine-tingling adventure.

I'm not the type of cat to break dance in a club, nor bop m head roughly because of this sick ass beat. Neither am i the type of cat to purchase a cd just with strictly beats.
