So tonight I went to my first trance rave. I guess I committed a major faux-pas though- when everyone else dances to the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" remix, that isn't your cue to start a mosh.
I don't think that girl will forgive me anytime soon...
Apparently this clip is kinda famous (I'm seeing it for the first time. Seiken pointed me at a miserable cover of "Final Countdown", and there in the related videos was something with the name of my high school in it.
I must have done like 6 plays/musicals and 10 choir/jazz/etc. concerts in this hall. They really didn't want us to play rock - now I see why...

I always find it fascinating to go to Amazon.com and read the negative reviews about great albums. For instance -- Nirvana's "Nevermind". After watching a documentary on the last few days of Kurt Cobain, and taking a look at the wikipedia entry, I must admit that there is a similarity between Boston's 'More Than A Feeling' and 'Smells like Teen Spirit'. It doesn't matter though: I can still remember 'my first time' jumping into the crowds at a club on the pier in Portsmouth... left panting.. what was that.... my mates wondering what had happened and if I was ok. ...
