With all the fallout for Of Montreal's song "Wraith Pinned To The Mist And Other Games" being used in an Outback Steakhouse commercial as well as a recent T-Mobile video shoot which featured the band, fans are learning that the group is making a effort to, well, cash in. Of Montreal have announced next year's Skeletal Lamping tour dates which begin in Europe and then move to dates in Australia. But before they could go to Europe they still have some US Tour dates left through November and December including a New Year's Eve Party in Athens, Georgia and they are going to play on Letterman on December 18. Summary: Blown away!
I'm still slightly bruised from seeing Of Montreal deliver a dazzling performance, that proved more than worthy of the enormous glitter ball that dangles above the main floor at the Koko nightclub, in Camden London on this their only UK date of their tour (apart from an acoustic set at Rough Trade East earlier last week).

Of Montreal are currently in the midst of a North American tour but the band already have their sights on Europe. The band has announced several tour dates to take place in Europe and Australia early next year. I'm not really sure what the deal is with Of Montreal. I know these guys are big fans, but, I don't really see what the huh-bub is all about. I mean, Paul Rudd likes them so why can't I? Heheh, I can't keep sitting on this, without sharing some more. This song starts off sort of reminding me of Wild Mood Swings era The Cure as far as the music goes, but of course in a very Kevin Barnes sort of way. Then it morphs into something else...
