In his brand new video for "Buff Nuff," Roots Manuva is the Ice Cream Man, sorta like M.I.A. was the sandwich lady in her video for "Paper Planes." Roots makes bank while raking in the ladies! There aren't many details yet, but Roots Manuva confirmed he's wrapping up a new album of hot, hot, UK flava hip hop for release this summer. The giddy smile I was stuck with after hearing this tripled when I discovered Toddla T is also involved! As previously reported, Roots Manuva will release his new album Slime & Reason on August 25th. The vitalic performer just announced a string of live dates in the UK to support the new release, starting in October. Where Saul Williams rides the extremes between genius and lunacy, Roots Manuva finds a nice balance. However, this mini-documentary with the UK rapper-artist portrays him as a codgety old geeza on the sofa and a delirious don pon di mic... Roots Manuva takes an old school approach to "Again & Again," the latest single from his upcoming new LP Slime & Reason. The tune is a smooth blend of UK hip hop and slow skanking dancehall. Roots Manuva is set to release Let The Spirit the second single off his recently released album Slime & Reason , which will be backed with remixes Hot Chip & Ross Orton/Toddla T on the 28th of October.
Now, if you're not a big Roots Manuva fan & not planning on buying the album anytime soon, I do recommend that you purchase this whole release for it's original version for the song - you ask why?
Coz, METRO 'fuckin'NOMY produced Let The Spirit !
