My friend Gabe pointed out that, looking at the 2008 tours schedule, it's a good time to be 50: "Nightmare of a lifetime - all the yacht rock bands are on tour," is what he actually said. On tour we have: Kenny LogginsChicago with The Doobie BrothersJimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer BandSteely Dan and Journey with Heart AND Cheap Trick So if they were all on the road together, would it be The Monsters of Yacht Tour? I have a bit of a hard time believing that China Grove and What a Fool Believes came out of the same band (thank you Michael McDonald...and on that note I love both songs equally). Here's a video mashup of the Doobies playing live, mostly from the mid 70s

Back from his extended stay in California, Emeyesi showed up to the URB ALTcast this week with a 50-minute "Fall In Dub" megamix from superstar DJ Rance Brown, a former Western Massachusetts resident who now makes his home out west.
To round out the 90-minute episode Emeyesi and El Keter chipped in some Reggae-flavored jams and got hype over the Jamaican track team's showing in the Olympics.

OK they are not my fav band and I dig their earlier stuff. But this was a well produced album, sometimes as a musician I view music and someones creation this way. And sometimes you find that there is almost no such thing as something bad in art. Just one's subjective taste, I mean there are some perameters (I won't go into details). But My perameters might not even be yours, I'll just say mine are to the exstent of even decay of sound, and how long the vocalist holds that... MORE
