To celebrate the Smashing Pumpkins' new album Zeitgeist out on July 10th the band will play an intimate club gig in Washington D.C.
The Pumpkins will play the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on the release date, Tuesday, July 10th. The show begins early at 7PM.
Tickets for the CD release go on sale Friday, July 6th at 10am through tickets.com.
Yesterday the band announced a full fall tour that stops at auditoriums and theaters around the U.S.
So my roommate and I have a call and response mantra based on our favorite part of the song that goes "BANG BANG YOUR DEAD / HOLE IN YOUR HEAD." I think just for that, this song deserves recognition, not to mention that the version is quite stunning with a gradual shift in the ambient part away from norms, into Over the Rainbow and then coming back- modulating chords and key signatures the whole time. Lot of fun this one.
