I fucking love Tori Amos. Check it at 2:25. via dlisted: [Wednesday] night [12/12] at her San Diego show, Tori Amos showed two girls that she doesn't mess around. Two girls were seated in the front row and I guess they kept coming and going as they pleased. While playing "Code Red", Tori stopped halfway through and told the girls "Get the fuck out of my show! It's a privilege to sit in the front row and I reserve those seats for people who appreciate music, get... MORE
There's something about remorse and regret that demands a smoky bar, a husky voice, and a piano. Nobody does the piano bar regret blues quite like Tom Waits. so today, a trio of Toms. While Tori Amos doesn't fit the piano bar blues profile, she did one Waits cover on her Strange Little Girls lp in which, if you close your eyes, you just might see her in a different light. You want to talk to me. You want to talk to me. You want to talk to me. I wore this for attention. You’re the only one in the room who hasn’t even looked at me. Are you on mushrooms? Are you mesmerized by an imaginary giant owl that’s approximately 10 feet away from me? What is you... MORE
A mellow version of one of my favorite Stones songs. Tori's voice suits my mood on a quiet Sunday evening.
Leonard Cohen destroys by being destroyed; Tori Amos mourns what he's lost, what you've lost, that things can be lost, and always will.
A friend sent this to me recently and I had never heard it before. It's very high quality. He, however, has no idea where it's from; and neither do I. It is relentlessly beautiful and one of my favorite performances of this song.

Tori uses highly personal and idiosyncratic language in her lyrics that makes the songs often difficult to decipher and open to multiple interpretations. We don't always know exactly what she's talking about, but her choice of words and imagery convey an underlying emotional state that we understand. The ambiguity of meaning helps keep the songs interesting and engaging.

Tori Amos has a wealth of online goodies and is still on her American Doll Posse Tour in the US. Videos: "Bouncing Off Clouds":This is a strange video because it isn't really a video at all, but a series of photographs. These look to be photos from the same shoot as the photos that grace her American Doll Posse album cover and website. Which is why I think this video is kinda weird, bec
