my friend and bandmate posted this on my facebook today, and its an utter joy. my favourite part belongs to the "hyp-man" with his chant of "hey" within the chorus, although the ventriloquist (sic?) part is pretty damn ace too.
enjoy!
When I see a post that consists of little else than "Click This, Hurry!" I usually just move on. It's rare that I get a laugh out of whatever was so epic the author couldn't bear to describe it. But something told me this time was different, and Boy Am I Glad I Clicked! Remember the Chuck E. Cheese house band? Ever wonder what it would look like singing the latest hip-hop and RnB hits? How about Usher's "Love In This Club"? Well, wonder no more - Click This, Hurry! ... MORE
Millions of viewers watched Usher seamlessly weave through dance steps last night on the season finale of 'Dancing With The Stars', but that taped & edited performance didn't tell the whole story. According to People.com, Usher arrived late and threw the entire production behind schedule. Then the singer had difficulties with his performance, which spawned some diva-like behavior. "Then, while appearing to lip-synch two songs—”Yeah!” and “Love in This Club”—he fell out... MORE
Awww, just a few years ago Jay-Z was rapping about "Big Pimpin", and Usher was confessing to cheating on his girlfriend in a title track. Now the two men have a duet about settling down in marriage. Maybe this could be seen as a sign of progress for urban music.
Maybe in 5 years there will be songs about driving your kid to school in an eco-friendly hybrid vehicle. As of now, the Prius is NOT hip hop, but you never know.
I tried to keep an open mind.... but I just can't bring myself to like this song. The original version of "Love In This Club" was catchy and fun, but this remix contains none of the previous qualities.
The way Lil Wayne is thrown on the end seems really out of place.
This is not to be confused with the video of the kid on YouTube re-creating this beat in 20 seconds (take that Palow). This is the high budget version featuring Young Jeezy.
I love the song, but the vid is ultimately forgettable.
Some random kid on YouTube posted a video detailing how Usher's new song was made by default/preset sounds in Apple's "Garage Band" music program. The bulk of the track was recreated in about 20 seconds.. check it out below.
"Love In This Club" was produced by Palow Da Don, and reached #1 two weeks ago before being dethroned by Mariah Carey. Who knows how much Palow charged Usher for this...
and in case you want to hear the full Usher song, here it is.
Usher's latest single "Love In This Club" recently made history by jumping from number 51 to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His 50 spot leap knocked off Flo-Rida's "Low" which has held down the top slot for what seems like forever. A HUGE credit for the success of this song has to go to the producer, Palow Da Don, who broke all kinds of rules to see his vision come to life. First Palow put rapper Young Jeezy on the song without asking Usher's permission, then Pal... MORE
Two new tracks from Usher's yet-to-be-titled new album. The album has no firm release date, but the label has started sending out "Love In The Club" to radio. While it's safe to assume the wheels have been set into motion to gear up for a release, you never know these days.
Unlike the lead single, "Moving Mountains" and "I can't Win" are slow tempo songs.... enjoy.

Over the past few months, several unmixed and unmastered Usher tracks have been leaked to the internet. Almost all of the songs were originally intended to appear on Usher's new album, which has been delayed time and time again for various reasons. The latest song to grow legs and walk out of the studio was called "Love In The Club", and the songs producer Polow Da Don, fessed up to putting the track online.
"I actually leaked it. I'm the culprit," he said nonchalantly. "I... MORE
