Sure Weezer has been hootenanny-ing it up across the US, spreading music like they did during the days of the Orgon Trail and all, but now the band will finally head out on a tour like its 2008. The long haul is in support of their Red Album and starts September 23rd in Bean town. Angels & Airwaves and Tokyo Police Club are coming along for the ride giving you a bigger bang for your buck. I'm hoping Rivers Cuomo will be coming out all blinged out - gold chains, dunks a... MORE
Crunchy guitars, rap lyrics, and hymns are just are a few of things that make this album great, but more than anything we’re just happy to have Weezer back. Weezer’s Red Album is a breathe of fresh air for the band that’s basically been missing for the past few years. Honest, silly, and generally very fun, the Red Album brings back the Weezer we’ve always loved.

While I am pretty sure the title describes any song, I would particularly like to invite you to listen to this song at a high volume. Rivers describes falling in love with music through his favorite songs, and how jazzed he is that his songs might be that to his fans. I have to say: This is the song.
So, Rivers Cuomo has grown a mustache, and all of a sudden, he thinks he's Freddie Mercury. I picked up the deluxe edition of Weezer's latest album (the "Red Album," if you will), and it seems that Rivers' mustache is not the only way the guys from Weezer are channeling the legendary '80s arena rockers. First, as pointed out by the venerable Lamicus, each of the band members takes a turn on the vocals, like Queen used to do in their heyday. One of the standouts of the... MORE
The new album is out, some people are digging it like myself, some fans are disappointed. Check out this ballad in which Rivers Cuomo sings about the music that meant something to him growing up, and the inspiration behind Weezer's sound.
Sitting with Weezer guitarist Brian Bell YouTube phenom Tay Zonday covers the band's "Pork & Beans," a track he also appears in the video in. All right, I might be the only one, but this Tay Zonday stuff is getting old.
Would you buy a Tay Zonday album if it were released?

Weezer Weezer (The Red Album) 8 out of 10 Me and Weezer, we go back a ways, back to to 1994 when I got their self-titled debut album in the mail, when they showed up on MTV, when their Beach Boys meets Nirvana pop rock took hold. I was running Addicted To Noise back then and we got the guys to come by photographer Jay Blakesberg’s San Francisco studio for a photo session and an interview with Rivers right as the follow up, Pinkerton, was about to come out. But though... MORE
Actually...I couldn't make it all the way through...I am just not a really big Weezer fan. It's not that I dislike them...it's more like I just don't think about them, like they are irrelevant to me. The songs I listened to sounded JUST like Weezer circa the Blue album...fuzzy, happy, and in one ear, out the other...nothing that really relates to me. Like this song...repetitive lyrics, contrived song structures...just sort of boring. But I am sure if you like Weezer, you... MORE
I loathed "Beverly Hills." I had written Weezer off after that song. But dammit, "Pork and Beans" is frigging catchy. The video is super awesome.
The guys rustled up all the YouTube stars from the last year and threw them in the video. The Chocolate Rain guy, the "leave britney alone" guy, the clumsy ninja, the coke-and-mentos guys, and more. The only internet phenomenons that seem to be missing are "2 girls 1 cup" and pedobear.
Check it out....
