Aussie psych- rock trio Wolfmother have split up and I'm pissed! Their 2005 eponymous debut, not only ruled but it also garnered the band a Grammy. Wolfmother - Andrew Stockdale (Guitar, Vocals), Chris Ross (Bass, Keyboard), and Myles Heskett (Drums) - played their last concert this past Sunday at the Australian festival Splendour in the Grass in Bryon Bay.

it seems there are quite a few Wolfmother haters out there::cough, hyman, cough::. From what I can tell it is because they feel they are derivative, sounding like they are straight out of the 70's Last night at the Warfield theater in San Francisco, Wolfmother rocked hard and loud. The release date lies somewhere in the unforeseen future but Australian psych-rockers Wolfmother are busy at work on their sophomore album. Ruralish Connecticut starts getting really pretty this time year. It's weird, I've lived here for years and still marvel at the gorgeous woods, orchards and meadows. I'm getting sad about Winter coming but not enough to stop me from enjoying the now. If you live or might travel to this area for some leaf gazing, consider stopping off to Blue Jay Orchards, it's not quite as rocking and this song, but the homemade pies are!

So, I go to the Tube of You. They have some rocking songs there by the aforementioned band. Fortunately for me (and for you), they are horkable. I horked for you. You'll comment. It's only fair.

This has already been a pretty fantastic year for Wolfmother. The Austrailian band took home a Grammy in February for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song, "Woman", which makes them the first aussies to grab a Grammy since the Men At Work won the award 25 years ago! Also, their self-titled debut album has already reached double-platinum at home, and their bass player, Chris Ross has a lovely new baby boy to rock out with.How can you, their biggest fan, make this year ... Wolmother put on a fantastic show tonight at Summerfest in Milwaukee. This kicked off my 11 day binge of concerts, drinking, and not working with a bang. They opened up at 11 and played an energetic show until about 12:15, which was long enough to leave everyone satisfied. The keyboardist rocked out harder than I could ever imagine a keyboardist to rock out, but I guess that's the sheer awesomeness of a Wolfmother live show. When I discovered Wolfmother for the first time before the NFL season started this year, I was quite impressed. Somewhere down the line with alot of reviewers feeling the same way as I did they singed something witht he NFL or CBS or ESPN or someone and now their song Woman is on every single football highlight show.
