iTunes recently released an album called "Made In Iceland" - a short and sweet collection of unknown independent Icelandic artists (no Björk or Sigúr Rós anywhere to be found), which is how I discovered a little band called FM Belfast. Today was a library day for me, and that meant getting some new music to listen to over the course of the next two weeks. I like going to the library because I can pick out cd's based on cover art, this is something I used to do a lot of when I had more disposable income. I consider myself to have decent musical taste. I have a VERY wide range of things I like to listen to though pop is not usually high on the list. Britney Spears: no matter what people say she makes catchy tunes and is, I believe, mainly a sucess on her sound unlike many others. So the subject of this post? Infectious pop dance music.

These glorious 4 minutes, 53 seconds of Alice Glass muttering nonsensical vocodered lyrics are brought to you by the BBC and the lovely person who decided to rip the vid and stick it up on Youtube. I like this version of Crimewave better than the album mix. It's got real soul, especially with the added "choruses" and the addition of the live drummer.
