MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

I was never a big fan of Bob Dylan when I was younger. I did enjoy the cover versions by other artists, but there was something about him - that voice? the harmonica? - that I just couldn't get past. Well, I must be more mature, because I find myself listening and appreciating his talents more and more. This is one of my favourites now. It's easy to understand how he influenced a generation of singer/songwriters. Here's a classic example.

true dat - I feel the same way. I didn't get it as a youngster, but now his music is like my own personal "Bible".

Like any acquired taste, once acquired, addicted. The best part is he's better now than ever. Really! Any realistic assessment of his top ten would have to have three from the last ten years.

It's going to take a while, but I will be working my way through his back catalogue. I do have one of the most recent and I really need to give it a proper listen.

I too am mystified why music that did not connect a decade or two ago suddenly clicks now. Maybe I'm more surprised at myself, that I'm a full grown man who keeps changing.
